Aus sz-bike wird MOBIbike

Im August startet nextbike gemeinsam mit der DVB ein neues Bikesharing-System, welches „MOBIbike“ heißen und das bisherige System „sz-bike“ ablösen wird.

1.000 Räder werden dann rund um die Uhr für euch verfügbar sein. Die Mietfahrräder können an 14 MOBIpunkten, an Rückgabestraßen und in einer neuen Flexzone ausgeliehen und zurückgegeben werden.

Los geht es ab Montag 17.08.2020. Bitte beachte, dass die alten sz-bikes eine Woche vorher eingesammelt werden und somit zwischen Montag 10.08. bis Sonntag 16.08. keine Ausleihen möglich sein werden. 
 
Als Trostpflaster bietet nextbike eine kostenlose Tagesfahrt außerhalb von Dresden z.B. in Berlin, Erfurt und Köln sowie 60 weiteren Städten in Deutschland. Eine Übersicht findest du auf: https://nextbike.de/de/standorte/.
Der Gutschein wird automatisch bei der nächsten Fahrt in einer anderen deutschen nextbike-Stadt* eingelöst: Einfach Ausleihe starten und losradeln.

Neue Räder und erweiterte Flexzone
 
Mit dem neuen System verdoppelt sich die Radanzahl auf 1000 Räder, wodurch sich auch die Radverfügbarkeit verbessert. Bergauf und bergab fahren wird mit 7 Gängen künftig angenehmer.
 
Die neuen MOBIbikes haben wie gewohnt ein Rahmenschloss, welches sich bei der Ausleihe  automatisch öffnet und bei jedem Rückgabe- oder Parkvorgang händisch  geschlossen werden muss. Darüber hinaus ist mittels GPS der Standort jedes  verfügbaren Rades in Echtzeit in der App oder auf der Website sichtbar.  Eine Vielzahl der MOBIpunkte werden über Fahrradständer mit einem darin integrierten Schloss verfügen. In der auf der Karte pink angezeigten Flexzone ist die Rückgabe gegen einen Aufpreis von 1 €  möglich. In den blau markierten Straßen und an den MOBIpunkten ist die  Rückgabe überall kostenlos möglich. Bei der Rückgabe an MOBIpunkten  werden als Dankeschön 10 Minuten Fahrtguthaben gutgeschrieben. Bei Nutzung der App erhältst du eine Benachrichtigung über den Erhalt des Guthabens. Die Fahrtguthaben-Minuten werden automatisch deuschlandweit eingesetzt, wenn du deine Freiminuten überschreitest.
 
Bitte achte bei Rückgabe des Rades drauf, dass Wege und Straßen auch für mobilitätseingeschränkte Menschen gut passierbar sind.
 
 
Anmeldung & Tarife
 
Um die Sonderkonditionen für Studierende bei MOBIbike nutzen zu können, ist eine Authentifizierung (Verknüpfung) notwendig. Falls du bereits eine gültige Verknüpfung mit dem Semesterticket hast, bleibt diese für das aktuelle Semester bestehen und du kannst ab dem 17.08. wie gewohnt weiterradeln. 
 
Du hast dein Konto noch nicht verknüpft?
Das ist im nextbike Kundenkonto unter “Partner” bei der Option “Semesterticket Dresden” möglich. Wähle dort anschließend deine Hochschule aus und gib deinen Hochschul-Login ein.
Unter "Mein Konto"  → "Tarifoptionen verwalten" sollte nun "Semesterticket Dresden" stehen und damit der Studierendentarif für dich gelten.
 
Für die Studierenden und Mitarbeiter der Dresdner Hochschulen ändern sich die Tarife zunächst nicht. Studierende mit Semesterticket der TU Dresden und HTW Dresden radeln mit dem MOBIbike die ersten 60 Minuten jeder Fahrt kostenfrei (auch mehrmals täglich). Jede weitere halbe Stunde kostet 0,50 Euro; der Maximalbetrag liegt bei 5,00 Euro für 24 Stunden. Der Semesterticket-Tarif gilt für die Ausleihe eines Fahrrades, über einen Account können jedoch bis zu vier Fahrräder gleichzeitig ausgeliehen werden.

Ausblick
 
Wir freuen uns über die Verbesserung durch das neue System und sind zuversichtlich, dass dies insbesondere Radverfügbarkeit und Radzustand verbessert. Für das kommende Wintersemester nutzen wir das neue System noch zum Preis des alten sz-bike-Systems. Ab dem Sommersemester 2021 wird es einen neuen Vertrag geben, für den in Kürze die Verhandlungen starten. In August nextbike starts a new bike sharing system together with DVB, which will be called "MOBIbike" and will replace the previous system "sz-bike".
1.000 bikes will then be available for you around the clock. The rental bikes can be rented and returned at 14 MOBIpoints, at return roads and in a new flexzone. 
 
The new system starts on Monday 17.08.2020. Please note that the old sz-bikes will be collected one week in advance and therefore no rentals will be possible between Monday 10.08. and Sunday 16.08. 
 
As a consolation nextbike offers a free day trip outside of Dresden e.g. in Berlin, Erfurt and Cologne and 60 other cities in Germany. You can find an overview on: https://nextbike.de/de/standorte/.
The voucher is automatically redeemed the next time you ride in another German nextbike city*: Just start the rental and start cycling.

New bikes and extended flex zone
 
The new system doubles the number of bikes to 1000, which also improves bike availability. Riding uphill and downhill will be more comfortable in the future with 7 gears.
 
As usual, the new MOBIbikes have a frame lock, which opens automatically when the bike is rented and must be closed manually each time the bike is returned or parked. In addition, the location of every available bike is visible in real time in the app or on the website via GPS.  Many of the MOBIpoints will have bicycle racks with an integrated lock. In the flexzone shown in pink on the map, you can return your bike for an additional charge of 1 €. In the streets marked in blue and at the MOBIpoints you can return your bike free of charge anywhere. When you return your car at MOBIpoints, you will be credited with 10 minutes' travel time as a thank you. When using the app, you will receive a notification that the credit has been credited. The travel credit minutes are automatically used throughout Germany if you exceed your free minutes.
 
When returning your bike, please make sure that paths and roads are easily passable even for people with limited mobility.
 
 
Registration & Tariffs
 
To take advantage of the special conditions for students at MOBIbike, authentication (link) is required. If you already have a valid link to your semester ticket, it will remain valid for the current semester and you can continue to cycle as usual from 17.08. 
 
You have not linked your account yet?
This is possible in the nextbike customer account under "Partner" in the option "Semesterticket Dresden". Then select your university and enter your university login.
Under "My Account" → "Manage Tariff Options" you should now see "Semesterticket Dresden" and thus the student tariff should be valid for you.
 
For students and employees of the Dresden universities the tariffs will not change at first. Students with a Semesterticket of the TU Dresden and HTW Dresden cycle the first 60 minutes of each ride with the MOBIbike free of charge (also several times a day). Each additional half hour costs 0.50 euros; the maximum amount is 5.00 euros for 24 hours. The semester ticket tariff applies to the rental of one bicycle, but up to four bicycles can be rented at the same time via an account.

Outlook
 
We are pleased with the improvements made by the new system and are confident that this will improve wheel availability and wheel condition in particular. For the coming winter semester we will use the new system for the price of the old sz-bike system. From the summer semester 2021 onwards, there will be a new contract, for which negotiations will start shortly. With the introduction of the new, electronic student ID card expected for the winter semester 2021, it can also be used to rent bikes.
